For this project, we want to design a concept vehicle that would be capable of taking a person, or small crew of people, by land, entirely around the Earth’s moon.
There are some unique challenges that we will expand upon, but the lack of atmosphere means the lunar dust is particularly harsh, and the terrain is going to be particularly harsh so there will be some challenges with speed. The biggest challenge in this project will be comfort and speed. On Earth, circumnavigation was done with ships and large crews and many attempts and heavy losses. That was still far easier than trying to get across a desert more hostile than any that we have locally.
As the current stage, this is a conceptual exploration. We will be updating the brief and adding more as we move forward.
